Hello Trojan Families!
This is your proud Principal Dr. Handy with a few important announcements about testing.
State mandated testing is fast approaching and the window begins on this Monday April 23 and will run through Friday June 1.
Testing will begin with the PARCC Algebra I exams.
The PARCC Algebra I exams will occur Monday April 23-Friday May 4.
The PARCC English 10 exams will occur Wednesday May 16- Tuesday May 22.
Some students will also take Advanced Placement (AP) exams beginning on Monday May 7 and occurring through Friday May 18.
During the testing window there will be half days of schools to accommodate testing. These days are Monday May 21, Tuesday May 22, Wednesday May 23 and Thursday May 24. On May 21-22 students will take the PARCC English 10 exam and on May 23-24 students will take the Government High School Assignment exam.
On these half days, students who are not testing may arrive to school at lunchtime. Also on May 22 some selected Seniors will take the Montgomery College Summative math exam in the morning.
On testing days, testing will begin at 7:45 am so students need to arrive to school by 7:30 am to ensure getting to their testing locations on time.
We ask that you please not schedule doctor’s appointments or other engagements during the school day while the testing window is in effect. Thank you for your cooperation and support of our students. We cannot do this without you.
